As a practising manager, researcher and consultant I’m looking to explore new leadership perspectives across a wide range of organisational constructs. I’m hoping many of you will share the journey with me….
I’d like to share real life experience and even discuss some of the lastest academic thinking…..
Hi NIck,
An interesting question for you and follow bloggers……..
Is leadership a role or an attitude?
Thoughts?
Sarah
Hi Sarah,
Good question! My preference is attitude as I believe that you are a leader period. Sure you can take up a role in a given situation but I believe it all stems from your attitude.
Nick
I believe leadership is an attitude
Absolutely! It’s a state of being!
I agree!
I might go a bit further than attitude. I’d say it is a calling. Too many people in leadership positions put their business responsibilities ahead of their people responsibilities. Those that sense the calling of leadership know that the people deliver on the business.
